These are excellent alligator scute (osteoderm) specimens from the Pleistocene age and the species Alligator mississippiensis. They are well preserved, fully intact, and very detailed with no damage. In southern folk magic, they are considered lucky curios that can be used for protection and defense. In addition, they can be used as altar items for Marie Laveau or the various alligator spirits.
